The National Organization on Disability (NOD) has released AI for Accessibility: Inclusive Tech in Action, a new resource that explores how AI can make life better for people with disabilities while creating new barriers to access. AI for Accessibility: Inclusive Tech in Action contains strategic guidance for organizations to ensure that they are utilizing AI to improve accessibility, and avoiding ways in which AI can create barriers for people with disabilities. As AI becomes an even greater force in the workplace, the implementation of accessibility, inclusion, and Disability Perspectives needs to be embedded in the technology’s adoption and use from the onset.
